Day 4 – Bus 2: Reims
27 April 2018
Today we were in Reims, capital of the Champagne-Ardennes region. Two well attended round tables with lively discussions. Attention was brought on access to Minimum Income Schemes by a number of persons with disabilities who gave powerful interventions.
The bus was parked beside the Beautiful Reims Cathedral, one of the great cultural heritage sights of Europe. Social protection and social assistance schemes are another great European cultural heritage. No amount of philanthropy or charity has ever been so successful in reducing or eliminating poverty. The EMIN Bus trip is a call to mind and pay attention to that part of Europe’s heritage before it is too late.
Good media attention with TV and radio present.
Quote of the day “the base for a good integration in society is to receive a minimum that allows for living not just surviving”
